Introduction to the Tang Dynasty of China
There are many facts about the Tang Dynasty. Such as:
-Lasted for 289 Years. From 618 to 907 A.D.
-It began when a Sui official overthrew the Government.
-It included lots of Eastern and Central Asia, often called the Golden Age because it was one of the highest points in Ancient China, and possibly China in general.
-Ruler, Taizong, unified China through Military reforms, law codes, and land reforms known as the equal field system.
-Ruler, Xnanzong, made China's culture flourish. There were many poets during his rule.
-The Tang Dynasty's only woman to rule was Empress Wu. She decided her sons weren't ready to rule and kept all the power to herself. Not a lot of people liked her, but she was respected.
-Chang'an, the capital, was the largest city in the world at the time, and it was a ginormous trade center. They had more than one million people, many foreign people lived there, and it was a large religous center.
